Big Acquistion For New Mercedes Benz Dump Trucks 16/04/2008
The newest range of Mercedez Benz dump trucks has seen a high demand since their realease onto the market last year. The latest big acquisition was heralded recently with the City of Edinbugh Council taking its first order for Mercedes Benz trucks. The high profile deal is a significant account for Mercedes Benz dump trucks and means the dealership of Broxbrun Western Commerical can celebrate. The Scottish city council will be using five new Mercedes Benz Rigid dump trucks, the two 18 tonne Axor 1824ks, a 26 tonne Axor 2629K, and a pair of 32 tonne Actros 3236ks. The new range boasts the latest in low emissions with the BlueTec Euro 4 engines. The latest Mercedes Benz dump trucks will be joining a fleet of 1,000 mixed marquee commercial vehicles for the City of Edinburgh Council.
The new Mercedes rigids are four and six wheeled Axors that will be charged with the local authorities road services team. They come with steel tipping bodies and are now being used for general maintenance work. The Mercedes trucks will be carrying tar, gravel, cement and general blocks. The 26 tonne Axor 2629K Mercedes will also come equipped with a Palfinger crane which is mounted immediately behind the cab. For the long, harsh Scottish winters the Mercedes trucks will also be fitted with interchangeable QCB gritting bodies and snow plough equipment. The eight wheeled Actros Mercedes truck boasts an Autotrans automated transmission and is fitted with a Multilift hook lift for handling the 40 cubic yard containers. The containers will be used for disposing of Edinburghs waste and to collect glass, cans and other recyclables. The Mercedes Benz dump trucks will be able to offer a long life low operation cost that knocks off the upfront ticket purchase price. The Mercedes Benz dump trucks operate with fuel efficient engines, and other technical requirements that mean Mercedes offer the lowest whole life cost over a minimum of seven years.
