Komatsu Latest Bulldozer Range 02/11/2007 Last year Komatsu introduced their latest addition to the mid-size bulldozer range with their D61EX-15 and D61PX-15 crawler dozers. The machines were designed to work in construction, site preparation, home building, forestry, utility and quarry applications. Both the Komatsu bulldozers came equipped with the SAA6D107E-1 engine which has an air-to-air after-cooler and a flywheel horsepower of 168 hp. The engine meets the EPA Tier 3 emissions certified and the Komatsu bulldozers range in weight size from 36,840 to 41,250 lb depending on the model. Both the standard EX model and the low ground pressure PX model crawler dozer are equipped to offer contractors a maximum weight distribution and flotation options to meet the needs of each application. Both the Komatsu bulldozers also come equipped with the latest Komtrax technology which means machine operating information to a secure website for location, cautions and maintenance details and alerts to be sent real time using wireless technology. The large power angle tilt blade on the two Komatsu bulldozers offer smooth, and powerful control in many different conditions and terrain in dozing. The large tilt blade has a capacity of 4.5 yd3 for the D61EX-15 and 5.0yd3 for the D61PX-15 Komatsu bulldozer. The ripper attachments are multi-shank rippers that are capable of ripping up the ground more than two feet below the surface even in hard and rocky terrain which adds another level of operation and productivity. The mid-size Komatsu bulldozers come with Komatsus Palm Command Control System (PCCS), this feature is an improved operator function improving the ergonomically designed cab to provide better productivity. The D61 also comes with easy maintenance and serviceability which provides quick and easy access point s for inspection and maintenance. The Transmission and HSS oil filters and power train oil level gauges are all on the right side of the machine. |
