Caterpillar Introduces The 315 D L Excavator 12/03/2008
Caterpillar has introduced the latest in its line of hydraulic excavators, the 315D L Excavator. This new excavator boasts high performance, easy to operate, and delivers 5 percent more horsepower and 8 percent more lift capacity features than the 315C L which it is replacing. The new 115 horsepower engine meets the US EPA Tier 3 emissions and comes with hydraulic pressures that boost perfomance and efficiency. The Catperillar excavator 315D L works very well as a versatile machine that can do many jobs with an economical installation of auxiliary hydraulic circuits. The Cat 315DL model also works on the same spacisous and comfortable cab that is usually found on the larger Caterpillar excavator models, offering a quiet and contemplative work environment. The new excavator is equipped with a Cat C4.2 engine with ACERT Technology that meets worldwide emissions regulations and excellent fuel economy.
The 5 percent increase in net horsepower means that cycle times are reduced by the higher hydraulic pressures which increases breakout force and greater lift capacity. The Caterpillar 315DL model allows expanded versatility that makes it an extremely useful piece of equipment on any construction site. The excavator comes with four stick options that include intermediate 9 foot 6 inch sticks that increase lift capacity and breakout force for those that equip their machines with multiple work tools. The Cat 315DL comes with an optional Pin Grabber Coupler that allows for quick tool changes from the cab and standard Cat Tool Control System that means the operator can pre-set hydraulic flow and pressure by a touch of a button. The low owning costs are featured with the economic mode that reduces fuel consumption in light duty applications while providing high bucket forces and lift capacity.
